and i'm sure it will still be a homophobic society even after the legalization of same-sex marriage. dismantling the institutions of discrimination is only a part, though an integral one, of the struggle against discrimination and for something like a just society. changing attitudes takes a lot longer, and to really affect behavior, that's what's required.
